Those with an interest in traditional Mexican lifestyles will enjoy a visit to the Huichol Museum, where various colourful beaded pieces created by the Huichol Indians (Wixáritari) are displayed. These brightly coloured pieces are covered in a mixture of pine resin and beeswax and often depict scenes of nature, being known as 'yarn paintings'.

Located in central Cabo San Lucas, the Museo de las Californias features three main exhibition spaces, where you will find an array of old artefacts, regional photos and important documents relating to the history of the Baja Peninsula. The museum lies to one side of the town square and is a relatively new addition to the city's public museum scene.

Cabo San Lucas Museums: Pasado Marina de Museo (Fishing Museum) - Lazaro Cardenas, Cabo San Lucas, 23410, Mexico, MX
The Pasado Marina de Museo celebrates the area's fishing industry. Here you will find many fine specimens of enormous tuna fish, marlin and sharks, which have been preserved in all their glory by the art of taxidermy, for all to see and enjoy. Many other less known fish are also displayed in cases and also suspended from the ceiling.
