Cabo San Lucas Beaches

The Cabo San Lucas area of Baja California Sur boasts many gorgeous sandy beaches and excellent dive spots, particularly around Land's End.
Many of the beaches around Cabo San Lucas features their own swanky beach clubs, such as the Nikki Beach Club, which is located on the Playa El Medano (Medano Beach) and home to a popular bar, large outdoor swimming pool, sun loungers and trendy nightclub.
Seafood restaurants often overlook the beaches in Cabo San Lucas and offer fine dining with simply spectacular views.
The main beaches are as follows.
- Cabo San Lucas Beaches: Cannery Beaches - generally frequented by locals and suitable for swimming. The Cannery Beaches feature a long pier and comprise the Playa Balconcito and the Playa Escondida
- Cabo San Lucas Beaches: Chileno Beach - located on the western side of the Hotel Cabo San Lucas and perfect for swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving, with a stunning coral reef and clear water
- Cabo San Lucas Beaches: Estero de San Jose - an appealing and attractive beach in nearby San Jose del Cabo, with impressive cliff faces and lots of local wildlife, not generally deemed suitable for swimming
- Cabo San Lucas Beaches: Monuments Beach - home to some of the city's best surfing conditions, although do be careful of strong undertows
- Cabo San Lucas Beaches: Playa Barco Varado - reached through the entrance to the Cabo del Sol and featuring its own car park, famous for being home to the wreck of the Japanese freighter
- Cabo San Lucas Beaches: Playa Buenos Aires - an enormous stretch of sand with fairly limited access, meaning that it is often also completely deserted. Regularly frequented by experienced surfers
- Cabo San Lucas Beaches: Playa del Amante - a romantic stretch better known as 'Lover's Beach' and located alongside Cabo's iconic rock arch, the 'Arch of Poseidon'
- Cabo San Lucas Beaches: Playa el Medano - a great beach for swimming, parasailing, jet skiing, water skiing and sunbathing, with beach chairs complete with parasols
- Cabo San Lucas Beaches: Playa la Concha - suitable for swimming and general beach fun, complete with swimming pool, bar, cafe and lots of beach vendors, close to the Melia Cabo Real Hotel
- Cabo San Lucas Beaches: Playa Las Viudas - a peaceful spot on the western side of the Twin Dolphin Hotel and generally less crowded than other nearby beaches. The Playa Las Viudas is also generally free of beach vendors
- Cabo San Lucas Beaches: Playa Palmilla - sited alongside the Hotel Palmilla and known for its scenic bay. This is a good place for swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving, with equipment available for hire close by
- Cabo San Lucas Beaches: Playa Santa Maria - one of the city's premier snorkelling destinations, teeming with many colourful fish, just beneath the water's surface. Arrive early to avoid the crowds and find the best spot
- Cabo San Lucas Beaches: Playa Solmar - a quiet and secluded beach next to Land's End, only accessible through the resort hotels or by a steep and rocky climb
